Master of Ships

Finally finished my 'Top Bolt' comic, it feels like a long time ago that the actual episode was out. Originally this was going to be like one maybe 2 frames, and then after re-watching the episode a few times I had some ideas about how to take it further, so I added one frame and then another. Pinkie probably could have had her own frame, but I didn't think of that until after I was done her line art. I really like the funky backgrounds for these frames. I think they look cool and they are way less work to do than drawing out buildings and castles etc, but I feel like there isn't a well defined setting here, so I'm going to work on that for future comics. After assembling everything and writing in the text I am really noticing that the narrative doesn't flow as well as it did in my head, its more like a series of loosely related jokes than an actual story, but I'm going to work on that going forward. Still I hope you enjoy it! I still chuckle at it a bit after spending a whole bunch of hours on it, which is usually a good sign.
